For several generations, the Cutrera family has been dedicated to the cultivation of olive trees and the production of extra virgin olive oil, a profession that has been practiced for decades with the passion and love that binds this family to their land.

Traditional cultivation & gentle processing

On the sunny island of Sicily, the sun-ripened olives from trees that are over 300 years old are gently processed into extra virgin olive oil in a modern facility.

Further information

The company's origins date back more than a century: documents show that the Cutrera family grew and tended olive trees as early as 1906 in Chiaramonte Gulfi, a small village in south-eastern Sicily.

Giovanni Cutrera, the head of the family, founded the first oil mill in 1979 with the help of his wife Maria, after growing up in an old stone mill where mules and presses were still used.

The whole family and the local producers agreed aware of the quality of the oil produced in the Monti Iblei and decided to find a way to market it beyond the local market. It was a venture that, from today's point of view, has proven to be successful.

Since the year 2000, Cutrera has been run by the three children Maria, Giusy and Salvatore with their spouses and in recent years is the third generation joined the family business. Looking to the future without forgetting the past, a good mix of tradition and innovation, this is the mission that has allowed the family to achieve the important results.

Although today the company is run by Run by their three children, Giovanni and Maria have left a valuable legacy of principles, values ​​and knowledge that each member of the company puts into practice on a daily basis.
